
Biography
Jessica Teti Turgoose, Artist Profile
I graduated from Kutztown University in 1975, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an
emphasis in Painting. I then went on to attend classes at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts
and the Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia.
Since then, my work has been displayed in many exhibits and juried shows throughout the
region. These include a one person show at Widener University, and a two person show at Delaware
County Community College.
I have also shown for many years in the Yellow Springs Art Show, The
Immaculata University Art Show, the Philadelphia Art Show, and Chester County Art Association.
Before leaving Pennsylvania to live near my family in Connecticut in June, 2018, I was represented by
the Church Street Gallery in West Chester, Pa., where I also had a one person show
Since becoming a resident of the Connecticut shoreline area, I have been represented in shows
at the Lyme Art Association and the Artists’ Cooperative Gallery of Westerly.
My work hangs in collections both private and corporate in the United States, as well as Europe.
Two of my paintings were purchased by Delaware County Community College for their permanent
collection. My work is also included in the H.S. Lenfest Collection, and has been purchased by a number
of businesses, including the Great Valley Corporate Center and Bell Atlantic.
Recently, I have had the honor of being included in Daphne Landis’ book “Speaking for
themselves the Artists of Southeastern Pennsylvania”, which is published by the
Chester County Historical Society.
